Job Description:

Performs typical machine shop and mold press operations to support production.

Responsibilities:

• Performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and de-burring tasks. 
• Assists with machine set-up.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor. 
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education: Not Specified

• High School Diploma or GED, vocational training desired.

Experience: 12 months

• At least one year experience in a factory machine shop.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Alternate education and experience considered based on individual candidate.

Physical:

• Most of the work accomplished while standing, although some sitting is involved.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Appropriate safety gear must be word as needed. 
• Standing, up to 2 hours per workday

Skills:

• Competent in various machine functions.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools.
• Ability to perform simple shop math.
