ntenance staff. A critical objective of this role is to build a scalable workforce development framework that ties measurable skill progression to career advancement and employee retention. The Coordinator ensures that all training aligns with production quality, safety standards, and aerospace/defense compliance while supporting a diverse, often bilingual workforce.
Responsibilities:
Training Program Lifecycle: Design, deliver, and continuously improve hands-on training programs for CNC Machinists, Press Brake Operators, Welders, Estimators, and Maintenance Technicians.
Path Development: Create multi-year training paths combining classroom instruction, shop-floor application, and mentorship.
Performance Mapping: Establish measurable skill milestones aligned with job roles, production requirements, and NIMS certifications.
Direct Support: Act as a hands-on trainer on the shop floor, providing real-time troubleshooting and reinforcing best practices for accuracy and safety.
Systems Management: Administer LMS platforms (ToolingU, NIMS) and align training records with ERP and CMMS systems.
Documentation: Maintain SOPs, visual aids, and training manuals suitable for a diverse workforce.
Safety & Compliance: Deliver safety training and ensure all programs reinforce aerospace/defense compliance and quality standards.
Strategic Growth: Partner with HR/Operations to link training completion to career progression and pay increases.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Academic/Technical Background: Technical degree, trade school certification, or a formal apprenticeship in a related field.
Advanced Program Design: Proven ability to build scalable, multi-year workforce development frameworks from the ground up.
Bilingual Coordination: Experience collaborating with bilingual coordinators and adapting technical materials for Spanish-speaking employees.
System Integration: Proficiency in integrating training data with production-side ERP or maintenance-side CMMS software.
