An established commercial vehicle manufacturer in La Grange, TX is hiring an experienced Truck Equipment Technician. You will mount, wire, plumb, and troubleshoot custom truck bodies, hydraulic circuits, and electrical accessories on new commercial chassis, ensuring every build meets strict quality and safety standards.

Install and wire custom truck bodies, PTO/hydraulic systems, and 12V DC accessories.
Perform pre-delivery diagnostics and function tests.
Fabricate and weld mounting brackets and structural supports as required.
Log parts used and hours completed on work orders accurately.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Formal certification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment, or Automotive Technology.
Experience mounting cranes, liftgates, winches, or utility bodies.
Background in frame modifications or chassis layout work.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in truck upfitting, equipment installation, or heavy-duty mechanical repair.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, 12V electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Practical MIG welding and metal fabrication ability.
Ability to read and build from wiring schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
Commitment to shop safety and quality craftsmanship.
