warehouse associate - trailer loader / outbound shipping.

Responsibilities:
Load Outbound Trailers: Efficiently and securely stack, stage, and load a wide variety of automotive parts (ranging from small boxed components to heavy, bulky items like brake rotors, batteries, and exhaust pipes) into trailers.

Optimize Cargo Space: Utilize strong spatial reasoning to build stable, tight "walls" of freight inside trailers to maximize cube space and prevent shifting or damage during transport.

Verify Shipping Orders: Scan barcodes and cross-reference picking labels or manifests using RF (radio frequency) scanners to ensure the correct products are loaded onto the designated trailers.

Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, or hand trucks to transport bulk loads from staging zones directly into trailers.

Maintain Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and team-lifting procedures; keep the loading dock area clear of debris, pallets, and wrapping materials.

Working hours: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Skills:
Prior Warehouse Experience: 6+ months of experience in a warehouse setting, specifically working on a loading dock, shipping department, or handling fluid-loading trailers.

RF Scanner Proficiency: Experience using handheld RF scanners or inventory management systems for tracking and logging freight.

Equipment Certification: Prior experience or certification operating electric pallet jacks (walkie-riders) or forklifts is a major plus, though training can be provided.

Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with or general interest in automotive parts, tools, or logistics.

Qualifications:
Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to continuously lift, push, pull, and maneuver items weighing up to 50 lbs independently (and heavier items with assistance) throughout an 8-to-10-hour shift.

Work Environment Agility: Comfort working on your feet for the entirety of a shift in a warehouse environment that experiences seasonal temperature fluctuations.

Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately read shipping labels, part numbers, and digital scanner prompts to eliminate mis-shipments.

Reliability: Proven track record of punctual attendance and dependability in a production or metrics-driven environment.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
