Location: Hammond, LA
Pay: $18.00/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime possible)
Responsibilities:
Logistics & Tracking: Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries. Take check calls from drivers to ensure on-time delivery and validate load data for accounting.
Shipping & Receiving: Unload trucks, check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales orders, and distribute orders for processing.
Warehouse Flow: Read customer and work orders to gather and distribute items. Assemble products and participate in inventory counts.
Safety First: Maintain a safe, accessible warehouse environment for employees and customers while adhering to all safety policies.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Dock or warehouse experience specifically within the transportation industry.
Proven experience loading and unloading trailers.
Experience utilizing handheld scanners.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Basic written, verbal, and computer skills.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) based on freight volumes.
Critical thinking skills to easily carry out written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.
Physical Requirements: Ability to load/unload trucks and lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds.
