Job Description:
As a Material Handler, you will use a forklift or a clamp truck to move stuff around the warehouse. You will also help keep track of where things are stored and make sure everything is put away in the right spot.
Responsibilities:
- Check the Deliveries: When a truck arrives, make sure what’s on the paperwork matches what’s on the pallets. You’ll also need to learn how to log this into our computer system.
- Prep the Paper: Look at the schedule and get the right paper ready for the printers so they don’t have to wait on you.
- Drive the Heavy Stuff: Safely use forklifts, pallet jacks, and the specialized "roll clamp" (for the big paper rolls).
- Load & Unload: Get stuff on and off the trucks according to the daily schedule.
- Keep it Clean: Keep the warehouse organized. This includes using the floor scrubber to keep the aisles clear and safe.
- Stay Safe & Strong: Follow the safety rules. You’ll need to be able to lift 30 lbs often and 50 lbs every once in a while.
- Be a Team Player: If someone needs a hand, jump in and help out.
Education: High School
- High school diploma or GED
Experience: 6 months
- Forklift, power jack or tow motor experience
Physical:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, crouching, and twisting motions
Related Experience: Must be able to run a forklift and clamp truck, Must be able operate a power jack
