What You'll Do:
- Operate manual weld machines and automated/motion-control robots to fabricate metal parts and frames
- Lift workpieces manually or using hoists to secure them into fixtures, or load automatic feeding devices
- Perform basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed, welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions according to WPS weld standards
- Inspect and measure machined workpieces using instruments like gauges to verify conformance with specifications, inspection sheets, and customer notes
- Maintain company quality, efficiency, and productivity standards
- Ensure strict compliance with all corporate, plant, and prescribed safety regulations.
What You'll Bring:
- At least one year of welding experience or equivalent education (welding certificate/degree preferred); must pass a practical welding test and know basic MIG and tack-welding techniques
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate machinery and motion-control robots; familiarity with machine adjustments and automated welding (FANUC certification is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, manuals, welding symbols, and use basic math
- Strict adherence to plant safety regulations and corporate standards
- Must be dependable, a good communicator (with team and supervisors), and adaptable to changing daily duties
