The Welder performs advanced welding, soldering, and brazing processes to fuse metal components. You will work with various materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) using multiple techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick). This role requires a high degree of technical independence, the ability to troubleshoot complex fabrications, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.

Responsibilities:
Join, surface, and repair metal structures and components according to technical drawings and blueprints.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications to plan layout and assembly sequences.
Conduct thorough inspections of welds (visual and dimensional) to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on welding machines, torches, and shop tools to ensure peak performance and safety.
Select the appropriate welding method and set optimal parameters (voltage, amperage, gas flow) based on material type and thickness.
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, proper ventilation, and fire prevention.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Deep knowledge of the properties of various alloys and how they react to different heat levels.
Experience operating CNC plasma cutters, ironworkers, lathes, or mills.
Familiarity with overhead crane operation and rigging for moving large weldments.
A willingness to coach junior welders and apprentices on technique and shop safety.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of professional welding experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Proven expertise in MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding; proficiency in Stick (SMAW) or Flux-Cored (FCAW) is highly valued.
Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and welding symbols.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied environments (heat, cramped spaces), and stand for extended periods.
Valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) and the ability to pass a weld test on-site.
