Job Description:
As a Welder you would be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products.
Responsibilities:
- Join, cut, and heat metal parts using welding
- Repair or make new items using welding and cutting tools.
- Keep an eye on your work so the metal doesn’t get damaged or too hot.
- Read the work orders and get your tools and materials together.
- Prep, put parts together, and do "tack welds" to hold them in place.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical certification or similar work experience (preferred)
Experience: 12 months
- Understanding of tools and machines used during the welding process
- Understanding on design techniques and required tools
- Understanding of blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with measurement devices
- Basic understanding of math
Physical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead
