Responsibilities:
Advanced Welding & Fabrication
Multi-Process Mastery: Competently perform GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding across carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum disciplines.
Versatile Positioning: Execute high-quality welds in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
Fixture Engineering: Set up standard welding fixtures and demonstrate the technical skill to create custom fixtures for specialized projects.
Thermal Control: Expertly manage fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinking of precision parts.
Precision & Technical Execution
Equipment Optimization: Independently configure and adjust welding machine settings based on material type and thickness.
Technical Preparation: Utilize manual tools and machinery to clamp, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind components to meet strict technical tolerances.
Advanced Measurement: Demonstrate high proficiency in using tape measures and calipers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
Blueprint Verification: Inspect all finished products against technical drawings, blueprints, or physical samples to ensure 100% compliance with customer specifications.
Compliance Reporting: Identify and document any discrepancies or non-conformances, notifying the Quality Department immediately to maintain high standards.
Post-Weld Processing: Perform thorough clean-up and finishing of welds to ensure parts are ready for the next stage of production.
Documentation & Workflow Management
Data Integrity: Accurately record production data, including total quantities and scrap, using the MieTrak kiosk system.
Operational Tracking: Complete assigned Welding Kanbans and document specific work orders, noting any recommendations for process improvements on future runs.
Logistics Coordination: Verify and arrange all components prior to assembly to ensure a seamless production flow.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Multi-Disciplinary Expertise: Proven ability to switch seamlessly between GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes while maintaining high-quality output.
Material Versatility: Extensive experience working with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum in a precision manufacturing environment.
Advanced Fabrication: Skill in designing and building custom welding fixtures to improve efficiency and maintain tight tolerances for complex assemblies.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of precision measurement tools, specifically calipers and tape measures, to ensure 100% compliance with blueprints.
Process Control: Demonstrated ability to manage thermal inputs to prevent distortion, warping, or shrinkage in sensitive parts.
Software & Systems: Experience with manufacturing execution systems (like MieTrak) or similar kiosk-based production tracking and Kanban workflows.
Positional Welding: High level of competence in executing welds in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead).
