What You'll Do
- Operate one or more robotic weld machines to fabricate metal parts or assemblies to specifications.
- Lift workpieces manually or using a hoist to secure them in fixtures or load automatic feeding devices.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machine factors such as wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, and gas type.
- Perform basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed, including welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Clamp, tack-weld, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations.
- Inspect and measure finished workpieces using gauges and instruments to verify conformance to blueprints and quality control plans.
- Maintain accurate part counts and attach identifying labels or tags to finished containers.
- Perform programming, touch point adjustments, and operational corrections on robotic welders.

What You'll Need
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
- Previous knowledge of fixtures and weld setup parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, welding symbols, and procedure manuals.
- Competency in basic shop math and dimensional measuring.
- Basic understanding of computers to perform necessary job functions.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to follow orders efficiently.
- Detail orientation, self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task in a timely manner.
- Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
