Role: Full-Time Welder (Manufacturing Environment)
Location: Saginaw, MI
Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime hours)
Overtime: Opportunity for overtime available to help meet production goals
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on various metal components, ensuring all joints and structural welds meet safety and quality specifications.
- Read, interpret, and work directly from engineering blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to layout and assemble projects accurately.
- Set up, clamp, and tack-weld parts together, maintaining proper alignment and dimensions throughout the manufacturing process.
- Inspect finished pieces to identify defects or irregularities, maintaining a clean and safe workstation in compliance with facility standards.
- Maintain welding tools and machinery to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Skills:
- An innate understanding of mechanical systems and how parts fit together.
- A background performing mechanical repairs, field servicing, or hands-on troubleshooting is highly valued. We appreciate the adaptability and problem-solving skills learned by fixing things on-site.
- Focused on precision, structural integrity, and clean weld aesthetics.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting components, and working in an active manufacturing facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MIG welding processes in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Solid capability in reading and interpreting structural blueprints, weld symbols, and technical schematics.
- Competence using standard fabrication tools, measuring devices (like calipers and tape measures), and hand tools.
