The Accountant is responsible for preparing financial reports that track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax obligations. This position maintains general ledger integrity, handles cost accounting, ensures GAAP compliance, and manages core monthly financial cycles.

Salaried | Direct Hire (Permanent)
Pay Range: $55,000 - $61,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & GL: Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit/loss statements. Maintain the General Ledger and perform general cost accounting duties.
Reconciliations & Books: Code invoices, set up accounts, reconcile bank/customer accounts, and manage monthly book closures. Address bank inquiries and verify deposits.
AP/AR & Collections: Manage accounts receivable collections, verify accounts payable invoices, and ensure correct expense coding.
Tax & Audit Compliance: File federal, state, and local tax forms. Gather documentation and assist external auditors during annual audits.
Systems Support: Coordinate with software vendors to maintain accounting systems and perform other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years of general financial and cost accounting experience; strong knowledge of GAAP.
Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, working knowledge of Word/Outlook, and high proficiency with accounting software systems.
Core Competencies: Analytical problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
