Spherion Staffing is looking for a Temporary Accounting Clerk to support a great client in Belton, TX. This is a short-term assignment (approx. 4 to 6 weeks) designed to help a local team get organized for the new year. Responsibilities:
Processing and verifying financial data with high accuracy.
Completing bank and account reconciliations to ensure ledgers match.
Performing high-volume data entry using 10-key and Excel.
Assisting the accounting department with year-beginning administrative tasks.
Identifying and correcting discrepancies in financial records.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
1+ years of prior experience in an Accounting Clerk or Bookkeeping role.
Associate?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
Familiarity with standard accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERPs).
Immediate availability to interview.

Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (comfortable with spreadsheets, formatting, and basic formulas).
Strong 10-Key Skills: Must demonstrate speed and accuracy in numerical data entry.
Reconciliation Experience: Proven ability to balance accounts and spot errors is mandatory.
Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Availability: Must be able to commit to the full 8-5 schedule for the 4-6 week duration starting in early January.
