Spherion VT is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance/HR Specialist to join our client's small but dynamic team in Burlington. You will have the opportunity to gain experience across both finance and human resources functions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, financial recordkeeping, and reporting, while also providing backup support for key HR processes such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee communications.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring proper approvals and timely processing of all payment requests
- Assist with preparation and documentation for the annual financial audit
- Maintain HR and finance records in accordance with Records Retention and Disposal policies
- Serve as backup for the bi-weekly payroll process
- Support the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager during the annual billing cycle and ongoing AR functions
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Familiarity with benefits and compensation administration is a plus
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, or time-tracking systems is a plus

Associate

1-4 years
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, or human resources
- Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven or nonprofit work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain excellent organizational practices
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
