Job Description:
The Accounting Generalist will perform assigned duties within the accounting department, related to the Inclined Plane, fuel, inventory, bank deposits, and county billing.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and maintain accounting records for the Inclined Plane operations
- prepare financial and statistical reports for the Inclined Plane
- Complete inventory counts at all locations
- Research inventory variances
- Perform daily cash room functions
- Deposit all checks
- Prepare fuel reports
- Prepare county fuel and maintenance invoices
- Other duties as assigned
Education: Associate Degree
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting is required
Experience: 24 months
- 2 years of accounting-related experience is preferred
Physical:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 10 pounds
Skills:
- Basic understanding of accounting functions, clerical, and administrative procedures
- Knowledge of cash register functions and reports
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
