We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions. You'll be a key part of our accounting team, but your role will focus on supporting the AR and AP processes, not directly managing them. Responsibilities:
Support Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Assist in the administrative tasks related to AR and AP, such as organizing invoices, processing incoming mail, and filing financial documents.
Research and Problem-Solve: Investigate billing discrepancies, payment issues, and other accounting-related inquiries. This involves pulling data from various systems and collaborating with other departments to find solutions.
Data Analysis: Consult and review accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness. You'll be tasked with identifying and correcting errors, and reporting your findings to senior accounting staff.
Maintain Records: Help maintain and update financial records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and well-organized.
Clerical and Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties, including scanning, copying, and data entry.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Basic Understanding of Accounting: A foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, is preferred. You don't need to be an expert, but you should have a genuine interest in the field.
Exceptional Attention to Detail: This is a non-negotiable part of the job. You must have a keen eye for detail to catch errors and ensure the accuracy of our financial data.
Data Savvy: You should be comfortable working with and interpreting data. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: You'll be interacting with various departments and possibly vendors and customers, so a good personality and excellent communication skills are essential. You must be able to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude.
Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to research issues and think critically to find solutions is crucial for this role.
