Responsibilities:
Process incoming payments (checks, ACH, credit card) and apply them to customer accounts
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts with professionalism and persistence
Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and account issues
Maintain accurate customer account records, credit limits, and tax documentation
Communicate with customers regarding balances, statements, and payment arrangements
Collaborate with sales, shipping, and customer service teams to resolve billing questions
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports for management
Support month-end closing activities related to receivables
Maintain organized digital and physical financial files in compliance with company procedures
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience in industrial supply, manufacturing, or distribution
Familiarity with inventory-based billing or order management systems
Knowledge of credit terms, tax rules, and freight-related billing
Problem-solving skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or related accounting support
Good understanding of invoicing, payment application, and collections processes
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Good Excel skills (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
