Spherion Staffing is accepting resumes for a Aluminum Casting Quality Engineer/ Manager for an aluminum anodizing plant in Olney, TX. The Aluminum Casting Quality Engineer will lead the execution of best practices and quality procedures in the casting department. This quality professional will work directly with the management team, technicians, and the operators in the Casting, Extrusion, and Anodize departments to ensure process control, communication of quality standards, and that product shipped to the customer meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Work schedule is Monday-Friday 5am-5pm, with Saturdays as scheduled. Salary range is $80-90k/yr.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Cast House operation management team to oversee quality assurance, quality control and inspection of manufacturing operations.
Create, monitor, and improve Process Control Plans, Process FMEAs, and inspection points for product flow (including scrap and raw materials).
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for manufacturing of billets.
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Develop, document, and audit practices, program quality, and metrics reporting system.
Perform and coordinate inspections and determine quality testing and inspection.
Report to management on quality issues, trends and process improvement procedures.
Participate in internal and external safety, quality, process, and customer audits.
Maintain, and update as necessary, the quality manual and SOPs as they relate to billet quality.
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment in a hands-on role on the production floor engaging daily with the operators.
Technical orientation with the ability to analyze complex problems and formulate solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to perform manual labor for duration of 12 hr shift and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Metallurgical engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial engineering, or related engineering field
Experience in ISO9001 quality systems (i.e. ISO 9001, Six Sigma),
5+ years of experience in quality roles.
Working knowledge of billet casting procedures and quality defects.
