Responsibilities:
-Read, interpret, and work directly from blueprints and shop drawings to fabricate complex gangways and structural weldments.
-Fit, align, bolt, clamp, and tack-weld steel and aluminum components into precise positions using measuring tools and fixtures.
-Execute high-quality welds on aluminum using TIG and MIG spool gun processes across 3G, 4G, and 6G welding positions.
-Set up, operate, and maintain gas-shielded arc, arc, or gas welding equipment in accordance with strict company safety guidelines.
-Safely operate small shop power tools (such as grinders, drills, and radial saws) and industrial equipment, including forklifts, to process and move materials.
-Calculate figures such as angles and degrees, and verify final product dimensions to ensure complete conformance with prints.
-Inspect, repair, and rework components by dismantling, cleaning, straightening, and reassembling parts as needed.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Welding Certifications: Active or prior AWS/technical welding certifications preferred.
Positional Expertise: Proven expertise in advanced multi-position welding (3G, 4G, and 6G).
Equipment Operation: Experience operating a forklift in an active manufacturing environment.
Advanced Fabrication: Strong background fabricating custom gangways and complex structural weldments.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience: High school diploma/GED with 1 to 3 years of related welding experience and/or formal training.
Blueprint Reading: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and build directly from structural blueprints and shop drawings.
Measurement & Math: Mastery in reading a tape measure competently and calculating basic mathematical figures, including angles, degrees, and fractions.
Physical & Environmental Capability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift or move up to 25 lbs. regularly (occasionally up to 50 lbs.), and work comfortably in a loud, open manufacturing environment.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to our Drug-Free Workplace policy.
