Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as the financial heartbeat of the office, ensuring vendors get paid and customers are billed correctly. Your specific duties will include:
Managing Invoices: You will process incoming bills from vendors and ensure they are coded and recorded accurately in the system.
Handling Receivables: You will monitor incoming payments and help the company maintain healthy cash flow by tracking outstanding balances.
Solving Discrepancies: You will investigate when the numbers do not add up, communicating with vendors or internal teams to fix errors on purchase orders or invoices.
Reporting: You will use Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets and financial reports that help management understand where the money is going.
Month-End Support: You will assist the accounting team with closing the books at the end of each month to ensure financial integrity.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience working in the Construction or Industrial sectors.
Familiarity with Job Costing or Project Accounting.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
You must possess previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general Bookkeeping.
You must be comfortable creating spreadsheets from scratch. This includes using formulas to organize data and generating reports.
You take pride in accuracy and have a habit of double-checking your figures.
You are comfortable picking up the phone to call a vendor or speaking directly with project managers to resolve billing issues.
