Spherion Staffing is hiring an entry level Assistant Activity Director for a retirement community in Wichita Falls, TX! This position will help plan and lead recreational, physical, and cognitive programs for care facility residents. The work schedule is Thursday and Fridays 8am-5pm and every other weekend.

Responsibilities include developing event calendars, assisting with assessments, and managing volunteers to improve residents' quality of life.
- Program Execution: Plan, implement, and lead group and one-on-one activities (arts, music therapy, fitness, and games).
- Assessments and Care Plans: Assist the Director with resident evaluations, documenting participation, and setting functional goals.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate volunteers, decorate for holidays, and encourage resident socialization.
- Logistics: Arrange transportation for outings, manage event supplies, and assist residents with daily living needs.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience in a recreational or activity role, preferably in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility.

Qualifications:
Organizational, communication, and motivational skills.
Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift or carry program supplies.
