Spherion is partnering with a local food manufacturing company in Delavan, WI, to find an experienced Automation Technician for their 2nd shift confectionery production team!

What You'll Do
...
Maintain & Repair: Troubleshoot automated candy-making and packaging equipment, including cookers, extruders, and enrobing lines.
Technical Support: Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls troubleshooting to maximize uptime.
System Diagnostics: Diagnose PLC/HMI issues (Allen-Bradley preferred) and interpret electrical schematics for efficient repairs.
Compliance: Execute preventive maintenance tasks in alignment with food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, SQF) and lockout/tagout procedures.
Optimization: Adjust machine parameters to maintain product quality and support engineering with automation upgrades.
What You'll Need
Education: High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in Mechatronics or Automation preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of automation, controls, or industrial maintenance experience (food industry experience is a plus).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with sensors, servos, robotics, and pneumatics.
Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English to maintain accurate maintenance logs and train operators.
Physicality: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; some lifting required at times.
