Central Texas Workforce Centers is seeking a customer-focused Workforce Technician to support our front rotunda and downstairs area in Killeen, TX. This role serves as the face of our center-welcoming job seekers and employers, answering inquiries, supporting specialized programs, and maintaining everyday facility operations under limited supervision.

Responsibilities:
Customer Greeting & Orientation: Unlocks front doors at opening, warmly greets all visitors, and directs them to appropriate staff, classrooms, or resource areas. Helps first-time visitors complete Work-in-Texas registration.
Communication & Support: Answers inbound calls, handles paging, and connects visitors with specific departments (including Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Services, and Business Resources).
Rotunda & Center Maintenance: Updates flyers, job postings, and media screens with upcoming job fairs and events. Manages room setups, beverage inventories, and secures doors at closing.
Administrative & Clerical: Handles incoming/outgoing mail (USPS, UPS, FedEx), assists with data entry, and manages event check-ins for events like Job Fairs and Workforce Orientations.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Fluency in both Spanish and English is highly desired to collaborate closely with our Spanish-speaking Lead Technician and effectively assist our Spanish-speaking visitors in the main rotunda area.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Associate degree from an accredited two-year college (relevant work experience may substitute for up to 1 year of education).
Technical Skills: Basic keyboarding proficiency, strong customer service skills, telephone etiquette, and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Core Competencies: Ability to read policy manuals, write professional emails, perform basic math calculations, and solve routine problems using common sense reasoning.
Physical & Environment: Ability to move around the facility, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and perform routine office movements in a light-to-moderate noise setting. Proven track record of working effectively with diverse populations.
