Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials, supplies, and services for a leading industrial client in Baytown. You will be responsible for ensuring that production lines stay moving by securing the right materials at the best price and ensuring they arrive on time.

Purchase Order Management: Execute and monitor purchase orders (POs) through the ERP system, ensuring 100% data accuracy.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; maintain strong relationships to ensure reliable service and quality.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and lead times to maximize value and minimize supply chain risks.
Expediting: Proactively follow up on open orders to prevent production delays or stockouts.
Collaboration: Partner with Warehouse, Production, and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies in shipping, quality, or invoicing.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain is a plus.

Qualifications:
Experience: 3???5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain (Industrial/Manufacturing environment preferred).
Software: Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, professional negotiation skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
