This key role supports our residential design and construction team by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of our design library as we upgrade our systems. Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Software Implementation & Transition: Lead the transition to new CAD software (focus on Chief Architect/Revit) used for residential home design.
Plan Conversion & Redrawing: Redraw and convert existing home plans into the new CAD platform, strictly maintaining design accuracy and company standards.
Drafting & Modeling: Create and modify detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D architectural models for residential home plans.
Collaboration: Work closely with construction leadership, architects, and project managers to ensure plans are accurate and buildable.
Quality Control: Review plans for accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to use in construction.
File Management: Maintain organized CAD files, technical documentation, and ensure rigorous version control for all plan revisions.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to work independently on core transition tasks while collaborating effectively with design and construction teams.
Commitment to maintaining organized technical documentation and standardized plan files.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certification or formal training in CAD software or drafting preferred.
Proven experience with professional CAD platforms such as Revit, Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret complex residential construction drawings and architectural plans.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple plan revisions simultaneously.
