Spherion Staffing in Fargo has multiple openings available for Call Specialists. The Call Specialist will provide support to individuals via phone call, text, or online chat. You will lend a listening ear, de-escalate emotional and mental health crises, and make appropriate referrals to local community resources. Your primary responsibility will be engaging with help-seekers across all phone lines. Multiple shifts are available including weekend days, evening partial and full weekends, and overnight partial and full weekends.

Responsibilities:
-Engage with help-seekers across all company lines, including a Suicide & Crisis line, Information & Referral Helpline, and various regional or statewide
crisis lines
-Establish rapport during each interaction and offer information to local resources, listening and support, or intervene during various crises including suicide thoughts
or behaviors and substance use
-Maintain detailed records of each interaction, including help-seeker needs, the support that was offered, and how the interaction was resolved
-Remain up to date on all staff in-service training or memos
-Attend staff meetings and other team meetings relevant to the position

Qualifications:
-A successful candidate will have some experience in crisis intervention or customer service, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
-Must have a high school diploma or GED
-Must be able to work onsite, remote work is not available for this position
-Have good technical skills
-Excellent listening and communication skills, including customer service
-Able to maintain confidentiality
-Must be able to read, write, and follow oral or written instructions
-Comfortable navigating challenging conversations
-Minimum of 6 months' working experience in a call center, customer service, human service, or mental health field
