Job Description:
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Direct Hire — No Hire through Spherion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Day Shift)
Home Time: Home Every Night
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + overtime potential
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to perform local pick-ups and deliveries.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse management at delivery locations.
- Ensure loads are secure and handled safely according to DOT regulations.
Education: No formal education required.
Experience: 6 months
Skills:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
