Produces Machined parts by operating Conventional, Special Purpose and Numerical Control (NC/CNC) Machines and Machining Centers., Meets all responsibilities of a CNC C Operator <ul>, Read Basic Blueprints. , Load machine as required in accordance with shop orders. , Actively observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunctions., Report work-piece defects or machine malfunctions to appropriate personnel to resolve issues. , Determine when tooling needs changed. , Follow and understand all work instructions, inspection requirements and verbal/written instruction. , Conduct in-process inspections and measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation using shop floor inspection tools (mics, calipers, depth mics, gage pins, etc.) , Must satisfy Quality Assurance specifications and complete Quality Assurance logs. , Remove burrs, and sharp edges from work-piece per work instructions. , Understand and complete “At Machine Documentation”. , Efficiently load and unload parts in machine fixtures., Possess basic knowledge and ability to use gage room equipment (micro-hite, profilometer, indicators etc.), Use basic shop math and SPC charting , Own operator tooling (wrenches, mics, indicators, etc.) , Possess basic concepts of die and sand castings. , Understand basic programming principals and under supervision, make adjustments. , Make tool changes, measure new tools; adjust offsets as needed, under supervision. , Learn and understand PHB company policies. , Learn and understand safety requirements. , Implement daily practices, which will contribute to departmental housekeeping. , Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. , Serve as an active member of the PHB team of employees by routinely performing tasks such as: assisting in the training of employees; participating in problem solving activities; reporting workplace safety hazards; suggesting quality improvement methods, etc.
