Responsibilities:
Setup & Operation: Program (G-code), set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills to fabricate high-quality components.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and analyze blueprints, job orders, and tooling charts to determine precise machining specifications.
Quality Assurance: Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, Verniers, height/bore gauges) to inspect parts and ensure they meet strict customer tolerances.
Tool Maintenance: Monitor machine operations, select appropriate cutters, check for tool wear, and change inserts as needed.
Part Finishing: Deburr, de-gate, polish, and package finished pieces, ensuring all router steps are accurately stamped off.
Shop Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S principles and performing routine machine maintenance.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with coworkers regarding production runs and support the Shift Supervisor with extra tasks as needed.
Working hours: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Skills:
versatility: Experience "floating" or switching seamlessly between both lathe and mill operations.
Advanced Programming: Direct experience programming with G-Code (rather than just running preset programs).
Precision Inspection: High proficiency with advanced measuring equipment (micrometers, Vernier calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges).
Material Handling: Experience handling a wide range of parts, from small, delicate components to large, heavy pieces.
Shop Methodologies: Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement/lean manufacturing practices.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a proven track record of working well in fast-paced team environments.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience (lathe or mill).
Education: HS Diploma or GED certificate.
Blueprints: Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprint drawings and job orders.
Measurement: Basic knowledge of and ability to use standard measuring instruments.
Core Skills: Good math skills and basic computer knowledge.
Physical: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, strong manual dexterity, and good vision.
Reliability: Strong attendance record and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
