Responsibilities:
As a CNC Machinist, you will oversee the fabrication of high-tolerance components from start to finish. Your typical day will include:
Reviewing blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to determine the best sequence of operations and necessary tool setups.
Selecting and securing the proper cutting tools, fixtures, and programs for CNC and manual machines.
Calculating and setting machine controls such as speed, feed rates, and cut depths to ensure perfect accuracy.
Monitoring the machining process to catch any malfunctions and performing trial runs to verify that every part matches the exact specifications.
Marking reference points on materials and assembling finished parts into complete units.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Experience working with a diverse range of metals and materials.
Previous certification or experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
Strong basic math skills for calculating machine feed and speed adjustments.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating and programming both CNC and manual machining equipment.
The ability to accurately read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments to verify work.
Comfort standing for the majority of the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 25 feet.
A commitment to following all shop safety rules, including the consistent use of safety glasses and hearing protection.
Strong listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the team.
