- Sets up, operates, and disassembles conventional, manual, and computer-numeric controlled machine (CNC) tools to perform a variety of machining operations in a diversified line of work.- Accurately reads blueprints, sketches, specifications, or CAD and SolidWorks files. - Performs daily equipment maintenance inspections including but not limited to lubrication, fluid checks and additions, chip handling, scrap removal. - Performs program loading and verification procedures as required. Performs material loading of equipment that includes CNCs, bar feeders, and ancillary equipment.- Performs CNC and ancillary equipment setup, run, and teardown operations procedures to assigned specifications inclusive of bar feeders, tool setups, chuck jaw boring, etc. Performs CNC cycle start and stop procedures accurately and efficiently, making tool insert changes at predetermined intervals.- Operates manual mills and lathe machines.- Deburs parts and performs quality control inspections.- Reports immediately to supervisor or designee all operational malfunctions including but not limited to equipment failures, equipment damage, and unexpected scrap. - Consistently follows documentation requirements for machine logs, parts logs, work order travelers and any other required paperwork.- Maintains and improves quality. Checks own work, which is subject to fit, performance and sample audits by CNC Machinists.- Troubleshoots machining issues and maintains production efficiency.- Recommends new tooling to improve efficiency, life or part quality.- Works independently and as part of a team.- Takes initiative beyond basic tasks.- Other duties as assigned.

- Technical instruction and on-the-job training. - High school diploma or GED required.- 3 years of CNC operation experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.- Experience in CNC programming, Master CAM software, Mazak Mazatrol is preferred.- Experience working with stainless steel preferred. - Demonstrated dependability and punctuality with a solid work ethic.- Familiarity with applicable ISO procedures and safety standards is helpful but can be learned on the job.- Must be able to work at both locations located in Leesburg and Tavares.
