This role is responsible for buying and delivering materials and services for DCO's business units. It requires a strong understanding of commodity markets, great negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple purchasing projects at the same time.

Strategic Procurement: Partner with the Commodity Director to buy raw materials (aluminum, titanium, steel, hardware) according to Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements while optimizing quality, delivery, and cost.
Purchasing & Negotiation: Process requisitions, issue purchase orders, and conduct sourcing analyses to negotiate competitive pricing and lead times for unique components.
NPI & Team Alignment: Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) buyers and operation centers to ensure supplier selections align with the overall commodity strategy for successful product launches.
Communication & Compliance: Interface across all levels of the business to provide timely material updates. Maintain strict ITAR compliance using secured, approved communication portals.
Culture & Values: Promote a professional, respectful team environment utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to meet objectives.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Advanced Education: MBA or Master's degree focused on Supply Chain or Operations.
Industry Extras: Aerospace or Electronic Component manufacturing background, plus mill-direct purchasing experience.
Certifications: APICS, CPM, CSM, CPSM, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in strategic sourcing.
Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years in manufacturing NPI (New Product Introduction) and aerospace regulations, plus 3+ years in an ERP/MRP and QS/ISO environment.
Technical Skills: Experience planning and ordering metals, strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM), and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Core Capabilities: Data-driven problem solver with strong leadership, communication, and project management skills across multiple departments. Comfortable in a high-mix, low-volume setting.
