- This position includes a weekly on-call rotation.
We are seeking a fast-paced Customer Service Representative for their Baton Rouge office to focus primarily on dispatching and shipment coordination.
This is a high-traffic role where "traffic" refers to the heavy volume of email communications and the constant movement of orders and shipments. If you thrive in an environment where you are always "on the move" digitally, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
??? Primary Dispatching: Manage the daily dispatching of drivers and carriers, ensuring all loads are assigned and moving on schedule.
??? High-Volume Communication: Monitor and respond to a high volume of emails to provide real-time updates to clients and carriers.
??? Shipment Tracking: Maintain constant movement on orders within the system, ensuring no shipment stalls.
??? System Management: Use SAP and TMS platforms to input data, track equipment, and close out loads.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Industry Background: Specific experience in bulk truck, liquid bulk tanks, or chemical logistics.
TMS Expertise: Hands-on experience with McLeod or similar Transportation Management Systems.
Urgency: A proven ability to prioritize tasks in a high-traffic, time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications:
Logistics/Dispatch Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a logistics dispatch or high-volume transportation role.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Communication: Ability to manage a heavy email load with speed and professional clarity.
Schedule: Monday ??? Friday, 7:00 AM ??? 4:00 PM.
On-Call Availability: Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (typically one week at a time).
