- Operates keyboard or other data entry device to enter data into computer. Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer, using data entry devices, such as keyboard or optical scanner, and following format displayed on screen.- Compares data entered with source documents. Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data. May compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.- Receives, directs and relays telephone messages and fax messages to appropriate staff.- Assists in Cycle counting.- Provides support to the Inventory Control/Distribution Manager, Distribution Supervisor and International Shipping Clerk as well as others when applicable.- Assists the Accounting department by scanning necessary documents and/or other accounting functions.- Prints various reports when applicable.- Comprehends written and verbal instructions and translates them into actionable tasks in support of the distribution process.- Knowledgeable of the distribution processes within the department. Refers to procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.- Uses time effectively and promotes a strong team atmosphere by assisting others when needed.- Promotes quality by maintaining discipline and compliance of procedures related to job specifications in a clean and orderly work space. - Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. This is including, but not limited, to the use of any specialized tools used within a warehouse environment.- Handles hazardous waste within the department only as required and as established by state and federal regulations.- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand and hand truck when assisting others. - Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence (i.e. part number and/or product type) when applicable.- Marks materials with identifying information.- All other tasks as assigned by Inventory Control/Distribution Manager and Distribution Supervisor.- Must receive annual safety training and annual training on handling hazardous waste relative to their department and position and in accordance with state and federal regulations.

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Minimum of one to two years of data entry experience required.- Shipping/Receiving experience is a plus. - Must have worked in a team- based environment.- Must have good computer skills. - Able to type a minimum of 40wpm and utilize various office equipment with minimal to no assistance.- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Able to utilize calculators to obtain mathematical formula results.- Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Able to retain information such as item location and pack quantity.- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk, talk and hear. - Use your hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with your hands and arms. - The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. - Able to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
