Responsibilities:
Monitor live GPS tracking systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software to ensure on-time performance across all bus routes.
Adjust routes, assign backup vehicles, or resequencing runs in real time to cover driver absences, traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or severe weather.
Balance route loads and coordinate timed transfers between buses to ensure smooth connections for passengers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for bus operators via two-way radio, phone, and digital messaging.
Conduct morning/shift pull-outs: verify operator attendance, perform fit-for-duty checks, assign vehicles, and issue route equipment/keys.
Guide drivers through route detours, construction zones, passenger issues, or schedule adjustments while on the road.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to maintain composure under high pressure.
Availability: Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed for transit operations.

Qualifications:
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1?3+ years of dispatching, fleet routing, or logistics experience (transit, emergency services/911, trucking, or taxi operations preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD/AVL software, two-way radio systems, MS Office/Excel, and multi-line phone systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate unexpected situations (traffic jams, breakdowns, bad weather) and make firm, safe decisions in seconds.
Communication: Clear, concise radio etiquette and strong verbal/written skills.
