Spherion is seeking an eager, hands-on Entry-Level Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with a mechanical mindset who wants to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance. You will work alongside an experienced Plant Mechanic, receiving daily mentorship and hands-on training to learn equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility operations.

No prior maintenance experience is required - we are looking for candidates with a good work ethic, willingness to learn, and interest in developing technical skills within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Plant Mechanic to learn facility equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
Assist with preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Help identify mechanical issues and support solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
Perform general plant maintenance, building repairs, adjustments, and equipment upkeep.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete maintenance tasks.
Support welding, fabrication, and mechanical projects as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Complete assigned training and develop skills for career advancement in industrial maintenance.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
Previous experience in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance-related work.
Basic electrical knowledge or troubleshooting experience.
Welding or fabrication experience.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.
Experience working with production equipment or machinery.
Basic understanding of safety procedures in an industrial environment.

High School

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Ability to work the training schedule of 5:30 AM ??? 1:30 PM and transition to the permanent schedule of 9:00 AM ??? 5:30 PM after training.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in an industrial plant environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to learn mechanical maintenance skills and receive hands-on training.
Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools.
Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to work as part of a team.
