Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Oversee site EPA and OSHA compliance, manage environmental permits (air, water, waste), and submit required agency reporting.
Program Development: Build, maintain, and audit site-wide health, safety, and environmental policies, including risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
Incident Management: Lead root-cause investigations for incidents and near-misses, implementing swift corrective and preventive action plans.
Safety Training & Leadership: Coordinate site safety training, direct emergency response drills, oversee PPE compliance, and chair the site EHS committee.
Continuous Improvement: Track and analyze key safety metrics, manage ISO audit systems, and drive sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and energy consumption.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Industry Background: Direct EHS experience in advanced materials, chemical production, or battery manufacturing environments.
Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
ISO Systems: Hands-on experience working within ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems.
Advanced Degree: Master's degree in EHS, Environmental Management, or an engineering field.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of EHS management experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial environment.
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience and education combination considered).
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local OSHA and EPA regulations.
Technical Skills: Strong background managing environmental permits (air emissions, water discharge, hazardous waste) and leading site safety audits.
Leadership: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and training skills with the ability to build a proactive safety culture across all shifts.
