Responsibilities:
Rapid Registration: Interview patients or representatives to obtain vital demographic and insurance information in a high-pressure environment.
Compliance: Ensure all EMTALA and HIPAA regulations are strictly followed during the intake process.
Discharge Processing: Finalize patient records, collect co-payments, and provide necessary exit documentation.
Communication: Act as a liaison between clinical staff and families, providing updates while maintaining professional boundaries.
Data Integrity: Maintain a high level of accuracy in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to prevent billing errors.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Previous experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care is preferred
Bilingual a plus but is not required
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Adaptability: Ability to remain calm and focused in a chaotic, fast-paced medical environment.
Professionalism: High respect for the chain of command and hospital protocols.
Tech Literacy: Proficiency in data entry; must be able to put the phone away and focus entirely on the task at hand.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; interest in a long-term career in Emergency Medicine is a plus.
