Spherion is seeking Extruder Operators to join a manufacturing team responsible for producing high-quality insulated cable products. Extruder Operators will set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment while maintaining production standards, product quality, and required tolerances.

Set up and operate extrusion equipment according to manufacturing specifications.
Operate extruders at required production speeds while monitoring equipment performance.
Properly align the center cable within the insulation to meet required tolerances.
Load and unload pay-off reels safely and efficiently.
Monitor the extrusion process and make adjustments as needed.
Perform required in-process tests on cable products.
Read and interpret manufacturing specifications and production requirements.
Use a micrometer to measure products and verify dimensions.
Complete departmental production and quality tasks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Identify production issues and make adjustments to improve job performance.
Work independently while following established procedures and safety requirements.
Work required overtime as needed.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Previous experience operating an extruder or similar manufacturing equipment.
Experience in cable, wire, plastics, or insulation manufacturing.
Previous experience performing in-process quality testing.
Experience making equipment adjustments to maintain product specifications.
Familiarity with manufacturing production environments.
Experience using Google Enterprise or similar workplace systems.
Experience with ADP or similar workforce management systems.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Mechanical ability and hands-on equipment experience.
Ability to read and use a micrometer.
Ability to operate and set up extrusion equipment.
Ability to load and unload pay-off reels.
Ability to follow manufacturing specifications and production procedures.
Familiarity with in-process testing procedures.
Ability to meet minimum productivity and quality standards.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work required overtime.
