The File Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and efficient execution of the following high-volume, repetitive tasks:File Retrieval and Transport: Locate, retrieve, and physically transport boxes of files from designated storage areas to the secure processing workstation.Detailed Sorting and Review: Open boxes and individually review each file/document against strict, detailed retention and destruction guidelines provided by the client.Destruction Processing: Identify and prepare all files designated for destruction, ensuring they are separated and moved to the secure shredding/disposal area according to established security protocols.Archiving and Preparation: Sort, label, and organize files designated for retention, preparing them for long-term archiving in the company's established filing system (e.g., chronological, numeric).Tracking and Reporting (Excel): Utilize Microsoft Excel daily to accurately log and track processing metrics, including:The volume of boxes/files processed.The breakdown of files retained versus destroyed.Any discrepancies or issues encountered during the sorting process.Quality Control: Perform routine self-checks on sorted batches to ensure 100% compliance with retention instructions before final archiving or destruction.Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area, managing the constant flow of incoming file boxes and outgoing sorted files.

Experience in Repetitive Roles: Prior successful experience in roles requiring sustained focus on highly repetitive tasks (e.g., assembly line, data entry, high-volume scanning, mail sorting).Filing Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with basic alphabetic, numeric, or chronological filing systems.Organizational Skills: Experience organizing materials or maintaining a structured workspace
Attention to Detail (CRITICAL): Proven ability to maintain a sharp, sustained focus on detailed instructions and execute sorting criteria accurately across thousands of documents.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move file boxes (up to 40 lbs) and handle physical materials repeatedly throughout the shift.Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive company and client information with absolute discretion and integrity.Reliability: Excellent attendance and punctuality are mandatory for project continuity.Basic Literacy: Ability to read and comprehend written filing, sorting, and retention instructions in English
