Key Responsibilities
Keeping a sanitation fleet on the road requires a specialized touch. You will be responsible for:
Hydraulic & Refuse Systems: Inspect and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and valves critical to waste collection equipment.
Heavy-Duty Engine Repair: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrains, and Allison transmissions.
Preventative Maintenance (PM): Conduct routine inspections and oil changes to prevent breakdowns on the route.
Brakes & Safety: Service air brake systems and steering components to ensure driver safety.
Diagnostics: Use advanced software and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot root causes of component failure.
Welding/Fabrication: Perform welding repairs on trucks and equipment as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: 1+ years of Diesel Engine Repair and 2+ years of general mechanical knowledge.
Tools: Must provide your own set of tools (supported by our reimbursement program).
Certifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Inspection Certification is preferred (or a willingness to obtain it).
Location: Must be able to reliably commute to Webster City, IA.
