We are hiring for a forklift operator to join a premier manufacturing company in Owatonna, MN. This is a day shift position. The employee will ensure that quality packaging materials are supplied to palletizing operations and transport pallets of finished cans to the appropriate area of the warehouse.

Responsibilities:
- Keep the palletizer properly supplied with pallets, top frames, and slip sheets, and ensure the quality of all materials.
- Keep pallets aligned properly and remove jams as needed.
- Make sure pallet inventory is properly sorted, with defective pallets stored in separate areas.
- Check the conditions of the forklift and perform basic P.M.s at the start of each shift.
- Ensure strappers are full of banding material and pallets are flowing smoothly through lower conveying. Perform band tension check once per shift and document results on the check sheet.
- Inspect and transport finished pallets to the warehouse, referring any H.F.I.s for proper disposition.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the lower conveying area.
- Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.

- Ability to safely operate all forklifts in the plant.
