In this role, you will work under direct supervision to provide essential support across various shop departments. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity within a clean, climate-controlled environment recognized by Newsweek as a Top 100 Most Loved Workplace.
Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Load and unload materials, parts, and products onto pallets, skids, or trucks; transport equipment to designated work areas.
Production Support: Assist shop personnel where needed, including performing light mechanical assembly and moving supplies for department teams.
Facility Maintenance: Help with housekeeping and cleanup operations; load trash bins and compactors; fill propane bottles.
Technical Assistance: Operate hand tools and handling equipment as instructed; change out equipment components.
Operational Readiness: Read and follow work instructions and "travelers" necessary for the production process.
Compliance: Ensure the proper handling and management of hazardous waste in the work area and participate in project committees as assigned.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Literacy & Communication: Ability to read and comprehend simple directions, work instructions, MSD Sheets, and part numbers.
Instructional Following: Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions in standardized situations.
Soft Skills: Good decision-making, critical thinking, and the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one settings.
Teamwork: Strong ability to follow directions provided by leads, supervisors, and managers.
