The Grinder is responsible for preparing, smoothing, and finishing metal parts using grinding tools and equipment. This role supports the fabrication and welding teams by ensuring parts meet quality, dimensional, and surface-finish standards. Responsibilities:
Grind, deburr, and smooth metal components to required specifications
Operate hand grinders, bench grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools
Inspect parts for defects, sharp edges, and surface inconsistencies
Follow work orders, drawings, and supervisor instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality
Work closely with welders, fabricators, and quality control
Properly use PPE and follow all shop safety procedures
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum
Familiarity with blueprints or fabrication drawings
Knowledge of surface finishing standards
Experience in a fast???growth or high???volume production environment

Qualifications:
Experience in metal fabrication, grinding, or similar industrial work
Ability to read basic measurements and use measurement tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move metal parts as needed
Reliable work history and strong work ethic
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
