Responsibilities:
Diagnostics & Repair: Perform complex electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, engine (Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, CAT), and transmission diagnostics and repairs using modern diagnostic software.
Routine Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections (PMs), oil changes, fluid flushes, and DOT safety inspections to maintain fleet reliability.
Troubleshooting: Trace and repair fault codes, wiring issues, pneumatic systems, and emission systems (DEF, DPF, SCR).
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets OSHA, DOT, and local safety standards. Complete job work orders accurately and detail parts/labor used.
Shop Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; assist team members as needed.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Valid Driver's License required (Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is a strong plus).
ASE Diesel Certifications (T2-T8) highly preferred.
Certified DOT Inspector license a plus.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3???5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel technician or mechanic.
Tools: Must own a complete set of personal hand tools suitable for heavy-duty truck repair (specialized shop tools provided).
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with computer diagnostic systems, and ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, kneel, bend, and work in shop/outdoor conditions typical of the Texas Gulf Coast area.
