As the HR Generalist you will support various locations with day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruiting and interviewing candidates, administering benefits and leave programs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Pay: $24-27.50/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
-Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental supervisors to understand skills and competencies
-Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding processes
-Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment events
-Assist in developing and updating job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs
-Assist in creating and reviewing interview questions to promote consistency, compliance, and effectiveness in candidate evaluation
-Support Company benefit/wellness program to include eligibility tracking, enrollment, offboarding, and responding to general inquiries
-Assist with FMLA, WSI, STD, and OSHA programs to include documentation, tracking, and return-to-work coordination; enter related data in applicable systems
-Coordinate unemployment claims and corresponding documentation
-Contribute to the development and periodic review of HR policies and procedures
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; recommends HR best practices
-Stay current on trends, legal updates, and emerging technologies in HR, talent management, and labor laws
-Actively promote and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and situations
