As a Senior Inspector, you will act as a technical authority on the shop floor, performing advanced inspection functions for machined parts and assemblies. This is an ideal role for a self-motivated professional with a deep background in aerospace quality assurance who can operate with zero supervision and provide expert guidance to peers.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Inspection: Perform and oversee final, in-process, and receiving inspections to ensure 100% compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer PO requirements.
First Article Inspection (FAI): Perform and document First Article Inspections and results in accordance with industry standards.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, shop planning, and mylars. Effectively explain GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements to other departments.
Precision Measurement: Master the use of all common precision instruments, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and surface finish test instruments.
Non-Conformance Management: Accurately document non-conforming conditions and prepare detailed product documentation packages and certifications.
Continuous Improvement: Understand and apply problem-solving tools, suggesting improvements for product flow and participating in project committees.
Compliance: Ensure proper handling of hazardous waste in the work area and adhere to all safety protocols.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Technical Mastery: Thorough understanding of GD&T and the ability to apply advanced shop math, including trigonometry, in all units of measure.
Communication: Ability to effectively present technical information to supervisors, customers, and customer representatives.
Self-Direction: Proven ability to perform work functions independently and make sound decisions based on common sense and technical data.
Analytical Skills: Read and interpret internal and customer-specific specifications with high attention to detail.

Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace quality assurance or aerospace manufacturing.
