Our client, a large private property in the Goleta area, is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Irrigation & Landscape Specialist to lead a critical project focused on the replacement and modernization of golf course and common area irrigation systems. This is a hands-on, leadership role for a dedicated professional ready to manage major system upgrades and ensure the long-term health of our client's beautiful property.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform the complete replacement and upgrade of the community's irrigation systems, including the golf course and surrounding common grassy areas.
- Hands-on installation, repair, and troubleshooting of all aspects of irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, backflow devices, and mainlines.
- Develop and manage daily work schedules and logistics for the irrigation project team to ensure deadlines and budget requirements are met.
- Program, operate, and maintain all irrigation controllers (both conventional and smart/central control systems) to optimize water usage and achieve maximum landscape health.
- Conduct comprehensive preventive maintenance and promptly respond to emergency repairs (mainline breaks, valve failures, electrical issues).
- Collaborate with the Grounds Supervisor to ensure irrigation methods support turf and plant health across the entire property.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
5+ years of direct experience in commercial or golf course irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
Possession of a valid Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) certification or willingness to obtain one immediately.

High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, organize work, and supervise a small team or crew.
Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components of modern irrigation systems.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy materials, and operate relevant machinery.
