The Lead is responsible for ensuring the accurate determination of Katie Beckett Medicaid eligibility by performing complex intake activities, functional screenings, and annual renewals. This role balances direct service with operational leadership, maintaining a partial caseload while mentoring staff and identifying ways to improve program administration.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provides everyday case resolution assistance, mentors staff on skill development, and triages initial escalations before elevating complex issues to the Unit Supervisor.

Eligibility Determination: Conducts functional screen visits to assess a child's level of functioning and care at home, utilizing the Children?s Long Term Functional Screen and CARES Worker Web (CWW) system.

Operational Oversight: Monitors team performance through dashboards and reporting tools, manages centralized intake inboxes, and provides consultation on system-related projects.

Family Advocacy: Consults with families regarding program requirements, assists with application paperwork, and makes referrals to alternative community resources when appropriate.

Quality Assurance: Prepares statistical reports for caseload management and participates in statewide meetings to enhance professional practice.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 AM

Experience:

Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a human services related field plus at least two years of experience working with children who have disabilities or complex medical needs.

An Associate degree in a human services related field plus five years of relevant experience.

Clinical Assessment: Ability to evaluate complex medical, emotional, developmental, and financial needs of children.

Developmental Knowledge: Understanding of growth and development processes for patients ranging from neonatal and infant stages through adolescence.

System Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with computers and the ability to utilize state mandated protocols.

Certification: Capacity to complete training and maintain certification for the Childrens Long Term Support Functional Screen
